My Lion of Judah involvement has provided a means to be involved with women who strive to make a difference, not only in the Memphis community but far beyond. More than merely a financial commitment, Lions are a force for meeting local and global needs and ensuring that Jewish life is not merely surviving but remaining vibrant and resilient for generations to come. The saying “As my fathers (or in this case, mothers) planted for me, so do I plant for my children” summarizes the meaning of being a Lion. I am grateful to be a member of the Lion pride.
