My Lion pin is a public expression and manifestation of my commitment to Jewish philanthropy, specifically to the Federation system.

Having served on the JFNA Israel & Overseas Committee, I was given a close-up view of how funds are dispersed to the agencies that are dedicated to improving the lives of fellow Jews who are in need in so many ways, especially at this fraught time.

Being a Lion gives me a seat at the table, to make my voice heard, and to allow me to partake in the discussions that lead to effective giving.

Like every Lion, I feel deeply proud and honored to be in a position to be a philanthropist. How fortunate to be on the giving end rather than the receiving end!

I see being Jewish as an enormous privilege, and to be a Lion is a supreme blessing!
