The Lion of Judah pin is a powerful symbol of being part of something bigger than myself. Before I became a Lion, I was invited to attend a Lion event with the hope of encouraging me to join this sisterhood. From that very first experience, I was struck by the idea that women’s independent giving could be a force for change in our community and around the world. I looked around the room at the remarkable women gathered there and knew that, when I was able, I wanted to count myself among these pillars of the Jewish community. Becoming a Lion has given me the opportunity to turn that aspiration into action. To me, being a Lion is about more than philanthropy. It is about leadership, connection, and taking responsibility for the future of our Jewish community. I wear my pin with pride for all that it symbolizes.
