I am a Lion of Judah because I believe deeply in the Jewish value of l’dor v’dor — from generation to generation. We inherit our traditions, values, and connection to Jewish life from those who came before us, and it is our responsibility to strengthen and pass them on to the generations that follow.

My Lion pin represents that connection. It reminds me that I am part of a much larger chain—a link between the past and the future. I am grateful to those who invested in Jewish life before me, and proud to now play a role in ensuring that Jewish communities continue to thrive.

Being a Lion inspires and empowers me because it reminds me that what we do today can have an impact far beyond our own lifetime. Our generosity helps create a vibrant Jewish future for our children, grandchildren, and generations we may never meet.

Endowing my pin makes the meaning of l’dor v’dor especially real for me. It is my way of honoring the legacy I have received while making a commitment to the future. I hope my endowment helps ensure that future generations experience the same sense of belonging, connection, and Jewish pride that has meant so much to me.

For me, being a Lion is about honoring the past, strengthening the present, and investing in the future—l’dor v’dor.
