My Lion symbolizes a lifelong commitment to strengthening Jewish life that began in my childhood, growing up in an active Jewish home, attending Jewish day school, and spending summers at Jewish overnight camp. In college, I became more deeply engaged in Jewish life and came to understand Judaism not only as tradition, but as a way of life rooted in values and community, with the Jewish Federation serving as the vital connector that makes it all possible.

I even met my husband at a Federation event, further weaving my life into this community. Today, with grown children and growing grandchildren, I feel the meaning of the Jewish circle of life—generation to generation—more deeply than ever. Inspired by my mother and mother-in-law, both Lions, I am proud to continue building a strong, proud Jewish community for the next generation.
