I am a Lion of Judah because of the women from Greater MetroWest who came before me as KWF recipients.
As a young woman, I learned from each of them how to turn my passion for the Jewish people into meaningful action. These are the women who taught me how to speak up in meetings, mentor other women into leadership roles, and share the stories of our work in ways that inspire others to support Federation.
Each woman was unique, with her own leadership style, but they all wore their Lion pins proudly. To me, that pin has always symbolized who they are and the kind of leader I aspired to become.
I have been incredibly fortunate to have these women as role models, friends, and mentors. I am a Lion because of them. Being a Lion is also my way of living the value of kol arevim m zeh b’zeh, that all Jews are responsible one for the other.
