Being a Lion of Judah represents everything I believe in: tikkun olam, women’s philanthropy, mitzvot, leadership, Jewish values, the survival of Israel, and leaving a Jewish legacy. I think back to my very first Federation gift of $36. Though small in amount, it was a meaningful gift, and I was proud to have the opportunity to make a difference. How blessed I am, and how far I have come in my giving. I am grateful for the many teachers, mentors, fellow Lions, missions, speakers, professionals, and recipients who have strengthened my commitment to the Lion mission. I am also thankful for my parents, whose example taught me the importance of giving back and making the world a better place. I have passed that lesson on to my children, and it brings me great joy that my daughter and two daughters-in-law are Lions as well.
