Detroit

I am deeply honored to receive this recognition from the Detroit Jewish community.

I didn't get here alone. I got here because of people who showed me that this is simply what we do. Family. Friends. Women in this community who lead by example. That's where this started for me.

Being a proud Jewish woman right now means something different than it did a few years ago. It matters more. Showing up, giving, and staying committed to Jewish life and community is not just philanthropy. It's a statement. And I'm proud to make it.

This summer I'm becoming a grandmother for the first time, to a granddaughter first, and another grandchild on the way. I want them to grow up knowing exactly who they are and feeling proud of it.

That's what this community has given me. And what I hope to give them. Thank you.
