Michelle Rojas-Tal

Michelle Rojas-Tal is a global speaker and advocate who is recognized as a trailblazer in helping young Jews navigate complex conversations about Zionism, Jewish identity and Israel. A native New Yorker, Michelle is the daughter of a Jewish mother and Hispanic father. In 2007, she made Aliyah and made Jerusalem her home. Michelle served for 5 years as the Jewish Agency Israel Fellows Director, leading close to 100 Israeli emissaries across North American campuses. Michelle Rojas-Tal is widely recognized for her expertise and experience in finding ways to empower young Jews and find avenues through which to connect with Israel. Israeli President Isaac Herzog has called Michelle “a game-changer for the larger global Jewish community while Eric D. Fingerhut, President and CEO of the Jewish Federations of North America, has lauded her” unique insight into the questions and concerns that young Jews in North America have as they grow and explore their Jewish identities and learn about Israel.” Previously in her career, she served for more than a decade as the director of Diaspora education for StandWithUs, working with Jewish communities across the globe. In 2013, she was featured in The Jerusalem Post as one of six “Women to Watch” in the Jewish world. Michelle is a proud member of the Schusterman Foundation’s ROI community for global Jewish leaders, a network of Jewish and Israeli changemakers. A native New Yorker, she moved to Israel in 2007 where she lived for 10 years in Jerusalem. She currently lives in the greater Washington D.C. region with her husband and three children. Presently, Michelle works for Sixpoint, focusing on shifting the dial on perception of Israel and the Jewish community, outside of the echo-chamber.
