Eden Golan
Singer-Songwriter
One of 2024’s breakout global stars, the pop singer-songwriter Eden Golan has staked a claim as one of most exciting new names in music after a star-making turn representing Israel at the 68th annual Eurovision Song Contest. She told New York Times: “I am here to show the voice of an entire nation.”
While Eurovision’s global audience helped introduce Golan to the world, her journey to stardom dates back to a creative childhood. The Israeli-born Golan, who has spent her life living between Israel and Russia, originally performed for her family as a child before turning her passion for singing into a fledgling career. “This is the reason why I'm on this planet called earth, to use my music to make the world a better place.” She quickly turned her young dream into reality after a series of successive turns on competition series around the world, including New Wave Jr, The Voice Kids, and securing three gold medals at the World Championships of Performing Arts.
For her turn on Eurovision, Golan found herself in the middle of the global conversation with the original song “Hurricane” serving as a deft commentary on the October 7th terror attacks. “The song is a tribute to the pain my country is experiencing and how we can’t disconnect from it.”
Now, following her star-defining journey on Eurovision, Golan is in the studio working on her debut album, focused on her mission to heal a fractured world through her art. Her single “Older” poignantly illustrates the way life experiences can force you to grow up too fast.
“Got the whole world on my shoulders,” she croons. “Could you carry it with me? Where were you when I needed you?”
“Music has helped me so much through the years,” she says. “All I want to do is give back.”
