Immediate Past Chair, National Women’s Philanthropy, Jewish Federations of North America

Carolyn Gitlin, proudly serves as Immediate Past Chair of National Women’s Philanthropy of The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA). Carolyn is an active philanthropist and community advocate. Carolyn served as Chair of the Board of The Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford. Previously, Carolyn served in several leadership roles for the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford, including Vice Chair of the Board, Women’s Philanthropy Chair, Member Board of Directors, and Vice Chair of Outreach and Engagement Women’s Philanthropy. 

Prior to becoming Chair of NWP, Carolyn served as NWP Education & Leadership Development Vice Chair. 

In addition to her Federation involvement, she is a past Board member of Aurora Foundation for Girls and a past Board of Trustee and Parent Association President of Kingswood Oxford School. 

Carolyn lives in West Hartford, Connecticut (where she was born and raised!) with her husband Jeff. They have three children: Alexander, Melissa and William.
