Director of the Fund for the Victims of Terror, The Jewish Agency for Israel

Yael Raz is the Director of the Fund for the Victims of Terror at the The Jewish Agency for Israel.
 
Born and raised in Israel, Yael Raz performed her IDF service as a lieutenant in the Human Resources Corps and later served as a commander at the IDF cadets' course. She holds a BA in International Relations and an MA in Political Science, both from Hebrew University, and an additional MA in Public Health, with a specialty in Crisis Management, from Tel Aviv University. 
 
Yael has worked at The Jewish Agency since 2003, starting as a Press Officer and rising to her current position as Director of the Fund for the Victims of Terror,  as well as the Jewish Agency’s emergency preparedness efforts and responses. Under Yael’s guidance, all activities are coordinated with both the Government of Israel and the National Emergency Authority.
  
In May 2020 she led the founding team of JReady, the Jewish Agency's global support network for Jewish communities. JReady is now operative in 51 countries and aims to promote community resilience by training professionals, implementing, and developing digital tool and enabling Jewish leaders and professionals to be a part of a global network of resilience. 
 
She lives in Even Yehuda, with her husband Eyal and their two daughters.
