Journalist

Jacki Karsh is an award-winning, six-time Emmy-nominated journalist with more than a decade of experience covering civic life, culture, and humanitarian issues across Los Angeles. Her reporting spans The Los Angeles County Channel, Westside Current, Westside TV, CityTV Santa Monica, and Young Hollywood.

Known for eliciting insight, nuance, and candor, Jacki has conducted thousands of interviews with influential figures across public policy, national security, business, philanthropy, sports, and culture. Her past interview subjects include Generals Stanley McChrystal, John Allen, and David Petraeus; Senator John Fetterman and Governor J.B. Pritzker; global business leaders and philanthropists David Rubenstein, Mike Milken, and Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong; and cultural icons Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kyle Kuzma, Danny Trejo, and Mindy Kaling.

Jacki is also a sought-after emcee and moderator for major national institutions, including the Milken Institute, Duke University, the City of Beverly Hills, the City of Los Angeles, Teach Coalition, The Montgomery Summit, and the Combat Antisemitism Movement.

Following the Hamas-led massacre of October 7, 2023, Jacki emerged as a leading voice for greater accuracy, context, and intellectual integrity in coverage of Israel and Jewish life. She has convened and led nearly 100 public conversations examining the Israel-Hamas war, antisemitism, and media bias. Her commentary appears regularly in The Times of Israel, The Hill, JNS, and the Jewish Journal.

In August 2025, she founded the Karsh Journalism Fellowship, a national incubator created to strengthen the pipeline of journalists equipped to cover Jewish life, antisemitism, and Israel with depth and rigor. Grounded in a facts-first philosophy, the fellowship trains emerging and mid-career journalists working in American newsrooms to approach these consequential and often misunderstood subjects with accuracy, context, fairness, and integrity.

Jacki serves on the boards of Jewish Federation Los Angeles, Hillel International, the Columbia Alumni Association of Southern California, AKLA, OBKLA, One Mitzvah a Day, and If You Heard What I Heard. She graduated with honors from Columbia University and holds a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Columbia Journalism School.
