Judith Sydney

Judith Sydney (Jude) is a respected and admired leader, and has dedicated her efforts to the Boston Jewish community for over 30 years. Jude built her successful private career in real estate development, management and construction.
Jude currently serves on: the Jewish Federation of North America (JFNA) National Women’s Philanthropy Board and on the JFNA Advocacy Corps and is chairing the Advocacy Corp for National Women’s Philanthropy. She served on the Washington Conference Committee and working to create a network of lay leaders to champion the Jewish communities priorities in Washington with our legislators.
During the Covid pandemic Jude co-founded TribeTalk, a non-profit that provides education, tools and resources for rising Jewish students in middle school through college to help them navigate the challenging landscape and to feel safe and proud to be Jewish given the rise of Jew Hate. She also launched Womenology, a series of virtual conversations bringing women together to exchange ideas and resources in a variety of disciplines on myriad of topics.
She most recently served on the Executive Board of Combined Jewish Philanthropy (CJP) as President of Women’s Philanthropy and as immediate past President and served on the Women’s Philanthropy Executive Board. Jude currently serves on the CJP Presidents Advisory Council and served for 15 years on the Executive Board of Jewish National Fund. Jude is an alum of the Jewish Federation of North American (JFNA) National Young Leadership Cabinet and chaired JFNA/Washington Conference in 2004, gathering over 3000 young Jewish people convened to learn, connect and advocate among the many U.S. Senators and Congress on the issues facing our Jewish communities nationwide. May 2022 she was instrumental in reestablishing the return of the Washington Conference to JFNA in its leadership conference offerings from over a decade hiatus. Jude is also an alum of the Leon and Cynthia Shulman Acharai Leadership Program founded in Boston and a Young Leadership and CJP award winner. Jude’s engaging and warm personality has naturally led her to be a community connector, convener, and dedicated lay leader.
Jude lives in Newton, MA with her wife Aviva and has 2 adult children.
