Gilad Segev

Founder, Project Heroes

Gilad Segev is an internationally acclaimed Israeli musician whose numerous top 10 hits and groundbreaking "Passerby" project have earned him millions of followers worldwide. In the wake of the tragic events of October 7th, Segev returned home mid-tour, inspired by the extraordinary acts of courage and unity displayed by Israeli society. Recognizing the power of his art, he transformed his music into a mission to honor everyday heroes and their selfless bravery.

This mission became the foundation for Project Heroes, also known as the Jewish Heroism Experience for Humanity. The initiative seeks to redefine the narrative of the Jewish people, shifting from one of victimhood to one of heroism. Through concerts, educational programs in partnership with organizations like StandWithUs and Birthright, and a Heroes book featuring a foreword by Israeli President Itzhak Herzog, Project Heroes inspires individuals to embrace the principles of Jewish heroism and reach their fullest potential.

Segev's connection to this mission runs deep. His first major release, Achshav Tov, was dedicated to his brother, who lost his life serving in the IDF. The song became the most played track on Israeli radio that year, cementing Segev's reputation as a voice for resilience and hope. His family legacy also reflects themes of heroism: his father, a Brigadier General, served as the governor of Gaza and Israel’s last military attaché to Iran, while his mother is a Holocaust survivor.

Through Project Heroes, Segev continues to inspire audiences globally, using music to ignite a spark of heroism in every individual.
