Serena Young

Serena Young is the Vice President of Philanthropy at Jewish Federations of North America.
Serena brings over 25 years of experience in non-profit leadership, fundraising, and philanthropy. She has a strong background in running major gifts programs, launching new programs and major initiatives, implementing leadership trainings, running overseas programs, community engagement and organizational and business strategy. Most recently, Serena has been serving as the Assistant Vice President of the Institutional Advancement team at Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion.
Serena has also worked at a range of other organizations, including UJA-Federation of NY, the Educational Alliance, and the Birthright Israel Foundation. She received her BA from Syracuse University and studied at Columbia Business School's Institute for Non-Profit Management.
Serena lives in Maplewood, NJ with her husband, Josh, daughter, Gabriele, and dog, Babka.
